John Otway - World Tour 2006

This trip is the real Spinal Tap or Blues Bothers tour. Your own private jet, the beaches and romance of French Polynesia, the glitz of Las Vegas, New York, the city that never sleeps, the most glamorous hotel in the World in Dubai, jamming on the stage of Sydney Opera House, flying into virgin territories in China, the home of the Beatles in Liverpool, as much beer as you can drink at the end of tour reception in London – it doesn’t much better than this!

Very special guest appearances are being arranged for venues across the tour and also whilst travelling on our specially chartered Airbus A340.

John will be playing a gig at the Cavern in Liverpool, UK to precede the tour on the 27th of October. This is not included in the itinerary. Once we have settled guest artists we will put tickets on sale for this event as a separate item if you wish to start the tour with a bang.

Day 1 Saturday 28 th October - Liverpool

- Depart Liverpool John Lennon Airport 1100 hours
- Arrive New York JFK airport 1345 hours
Flight time approx. 7hrs 45mins.

Upon arrival in New York you will be met and transferred to a 3* city centre hotel for 2 nights.

Swish reception in Central Park with a special reunion gig.

Day 2 Sunday 29 th October - New York

Day at leisure shopping, sightseeing etc.

Day 3 Monday 30 th October - Las Vegas

Transferred from your hotel back to the airport for the following flight
- Depart New York JFK airport 1100 hours
- Arrive Las Vegas 1320 hours
Flight time approx. 5hrs 45mins.

Upon arrival into Las Vegas you will be transferred to a 3* central hotel for 2 nights.

Afternoon and evening at leisure in the exciting city of Las Vegas.

Day 4 Tuesday 31 st October

Day at leisure.

We are in the process of booking the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas or a similar venue tbc.

Day 5 Wednesday 1 st November - Tahiti

Transferred from your hotel back to the airport for the following flight

- Depart Las Vegas 1100 hours
- Arrive Tahiti Papeete airport 1520 hours
Flight time approx. 9hrs 20mins

Upon arrival into Tahiti you will be transferred to a 3* hotel for 2 nights.

Evening for leisure, romance, rest and contemplation in Tahiti.

Day 6 Thursday 2 nd November

Day at leisure in Tahiti, sightseeing or enjoying sunshine on the beach.

There will be some kind of happening with grass skirts and the President of Tahiti in the evening. Pack your bags!

Day 7 Friday 3 rd November

Transferred from your hotel back to the airport for the following flight

- Depart Tahiti Papeete airport 1100 hours

Day 8 Saturday 4 th November - Sydney

- Arrive Sydney Kingsford Smith airport 1800 hours
Flight time approx. 8hrs 30mins.

Upon arrival into Sydney you will be transferred to a 3* city centre hotel for 3 nights.

Day 9 Sunday 5 th November

Day at Leisure in Sydney shopping, sightseeing etc.

Day 10 Monday 6 th November

Day at leisure in Sydney sightseeing.

Day 11 Tuesday 7 th November - Shanghai

Flight time approx. 10hrs 30mins.

Upon arrival into Shanghai you will be transferred to a 3* central hotel.

Evening at leisure discovering new territories!

Day 12 Wednesday 8 th November

Sponsored by Carlsbro a world class amplifier manufacturer. John Otway will be performing at a venue in Ningbo. You will be transferred there by coach where the hosts Carlsbro will put on a Rock ‘n’ Roll party inc. food and drink and provide John with a facility to perform and introduce his unique style of music to the people of China. The place will never be the same again!

Day 13 Thursday 9 th November

Day at leisure shopping, sightseeing etc.

Day 14 Friday 10 th November - Dubai

Transferred from your hotel back to the airport for the following flight.

- Depart Shanghai Hongqiao airport 1100 hours
- Arrive Dubai 1600 hours
Flight time approx. 10hrs 30mins.

Upon arrival into Dubai you will be transferred to a 3* hotel for 2 nights.

Evening at leisure in Dubai.

Day 15 Saturday 11 th November

Day at leisure in Dubai, shopping, sightseeing, sandboarding, snowsurfing etc.

Day 16 Sunday 12 th November - Homeward

Transferred from your hotel back to the airport for the following flight.

- Depart Dubai 1100 hours
- Arrive London Gatwick airport 1450 hours
Flight time approx. 7hrs 30mins

We expect to have a drinks reception on our return, sponsored by a well known brewer in London.

Notes

All flight times are local at departure and arrival point. We have tried to make the times as friendly as possible to the travellers and have taken into consideration check-in and check-out times of hotels and of course late nights !
Nearer the time a selection of pre-bookable sight seeing tours will be provided for each destination on the itinerary.
All hotel rooms will feature private bathrooms.
All flight times are provisional and are subject to change.

Transfers

Transfers have been arranged as a group transfer in a series of coaches that will all go to the respective hotels and return from each hotel to the airport. At each location we will be met in the arrivals area of the airport and transferred to the hotel and on the return we will be taken to the airport from the hotel. Should you wish to have private transfers then we will be able to arrange this nearer the time for you at a supplement.

Variations & Extensions

As this is a plane charted specifically for this trip there are limited opportunities to vary from the itinerary. However, if you would like to consider extending your stay in Dubai at the end of the trip then please let us know.
